All Party Parliamentary Group for tamils requsted to check on Mano Ganesan!

T.Jeyaranjan Vice Chairman of the Labour party (Newbury Branch) had requested his Member of Parliament Rt Hon. Mike Gapes to join the All Party Parliamentary Group for tamils and contribute to raising awareness of and improving treatment for this devastating, debilitating condition in Srilanka.


Jeyaranjan had highlighted the Death threat Sri Lankan Tamil Member of Parliament Mano Ganesan is facing from the Sri Lankan Forces. The Tamil MP Mano Ganesan was nominated to the Freedom Defender runner-up award by US secretary of state Condeliza Rice on behalf of her government for the services he has done to the community as the Convener of Civil Monitoring Commission involved in monitoring involuntary Disappearances, Abductions, Extra Judicial Killings, Extortions and Arbitrary arrests and detentions in Sri Lanka.

Most of the Disappearances, Abductions, Extra Judicial Killings, Extortions and Arbitrary arrests and detentions in Sri Lanka are done by the Sri Lankan Military or by the Paramilitary organisations working with the the Military. Hence Mano Ganesan had been an embarasement to the Sri Lankan government. The Opposition leader Mr Wickramasinghe had accused one of the brother of the Sri Lankan President of being the ring leader of these abductions and Killing of Tamils in Sri Lanka.
